The killer whales, often known as orcas, have been spotted off the coast of Abu Dhabi, according to the Environment Agency of Abu Dhabi. They can adapt to both cooler and warmer regions, making them among of the aquatic life that travels the most. Despite the rarity of this sighting, they have been frequenting Abu Dhabi seas, which is evidence of the abundant marine species that calls Abu Dhabi home, according to a social media post.
Despite the fact that orcas typically pose no threat to people, the public is urged to preserve their distance when observing wildlife and to call the Abu Dhabi Government Call Center at 800 555 in the event of any odd sightings.
For the next few days, several hotels will temporarily block access to their beaches out of an abundance of caution.
Orcas are not considered a threat to humans because they are not part of their natural diet. However, an Orca may mistake a human for something they do eat, such as a seal.
