“American entrepreneur Elon Musk unveiled the new robot ‘Optimus’ produced by Tesla, showcasing its capabilities in sound reasoning, color selection, and logical ordering in a video shared on his platform.
In the video, Musk demonstrated the robot’s ability to perform sports and swift movements, as well as its proficiency in practicing yoga and human-like reactions using artificial intelligence.
Musk, who also owns Tesla and SpaceX, emphasized that the robot would serve as a human assistant in daily tasks and would be available on the market for approximately $20,000 per unit, stating, ‘Our goal is for Optimus the humanoid robot to be ready for the market as soon as possible, capable of successfully performing tasks.’
Many social media users reacted to Musk’s video, noting the resemblance of the robot in the video to the humanoid robot in the film ‘I, Robot,’ starring American actor Will Smith. The film depicts the evolution of humanoid robots and their desire to dominate the world. Due to the similarity to the film’s robot, ‘Sonny,’ most comments playfully speculated about robots taking over the world, especially since the film’s robot also aimed to assist humans in daily tasks.”
